Protesters organized a demonstration outside an air defense factory in Edinburgh, Scotland, today, claiming that the "Leonardo UK" factory produces components for the F-35 fighter jets, which they say are used by Israel, according to the British news agency (PA Media).
They are calling on "Leonardo UK" to cancel its contract with Lockheed Martin, the company that manufactures the F-35s.
Around one hundred protesters, some waving Palestinian flags, gathered outside the factory entrance this Wednesday morning.
Andy (30), who did not wish to disclose his surname, said: "We want to encourage Leonardo workers to take action within their labor union to end this F-35 contract with Lockheed Martin."
A spokesperson for the factory stated: "Leonardo UK is subject to government export controls and does not supply equipment directly to Israel."
